Devices that can be updated:
- AIR Com (8.33 kHz radio) -- AC-1
- AIR Control Display (radio/transponder control unit, altimeter) -- ACD-57
- AIR Traffic (collision warning system) --AT-1 order AT-2
- AIR Traffic Display (traffic display) -- ATD series, ATD-57, ATD-80, and ATD-11
Update procedure:
- Download the update files: The latest software versions are available on the official AIR Avionics Support website. Files are usually provided directly in the required formats. They do not need to be unzipped or processed in any other way.
- Preparation: Provide a suitable storage medium (e.g., microSD card or USB stick, depending on the device). Copy the files to the root directory of the medium and insert the medium into the device. Switch on the device according to the manual. Important: Do not switch off the device or disconnect it from the power supply during the update.
- After the update is complete, the device will display the new software version. Remove the storage device and restart the device.
